Dear Pension Plan Participant:
Effective May 1, 2021 the CWA/ITU Negotiated Pension Plan (The “NPP”) will close its office in Colorado Springs, CO and transfer its administrative services to a third-party administrator, Frank M Vaccaro & Associates, Inc. (“FMVA”).
This is only a change in administrative services and will have no impact on your monthly pension benefits which will continue to be provided by the “NPP” with the same excellent level of service that you have grown accustomed to from the Plan’s administrative staff.
The “NPP” has been located in Colorado Springs since the mid 1960s and now, after careful consideration, the Trustees have decided it would be in the best interest of the Plan to close the Colorado Springs office and move the administration services to a third-party administrator.
A thorough search of third-party administrators was conducted and Frank M. Vaccaro & Associates, Inc. was selected to provide administrative services for the Plan. This decision was based on a number of factors, some of which are: FMVA provides administrative services for similar multi-employer pension plans; they use the ISSI system (the Plan’s current systems provider) for many of their clients and they also work with the same actuarial firm as the NPP.
To be certain, this is only a change in administrative services and the NPP will continue to provide your monthly pension benefits. If you have any questions or would like to obtain information regarding your pension benefit, beginning May 1, 2021 you should communicate with NPP by using the following contact information:

About:
The CWA/ITU Negotiated Pension Plan (NPP), which began in 1967, is a multi-employer defined benefit plan with an equal number of trustees representing the employers and the employees. It conforms with all applicable laws and regulations, and is administered at the Plan Office in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Contributions to the Plan are made by the Employer based on the terms of a collective bargaining agreement. Contributions may be negotiated on a cents per hour, dollars per day, or percentage of earnings basis, but they must be on a uniform basis for all individuals.
Office Hours & Closures:
Hours of Operation are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Eastern Time Monday through Friday.

The office may also close in the event of severe weather or dangerous road conditions in the local area.
You may still leave a voicemail or send an email even when we are closed. We will respond as soon as we are back in the office.

THE PLAN IS CONDUCTING YEALY AUDITS OF ALL PAYMENT RECIPIENTS. IF YOU RECEIVE AN AUDIT LETTER, PLEASE HAVE IT NOTARIZED (IF INDICATED) AND RETURN THE FORM TO THE PLAN OFFICE BY EMAIL, FAX, OR USPS. THIS DOCUMENT WILL BECOME PART OF YOUR PERMANENT FILE AND IS REQUIRED.
